Plastic Strapping

Battery operated

The BXT NG next generation battery powered strapping tools for 9-19 mm PP and PET strapping have a number of revolutionary world firsts in manual strapping tools. The BXT3 is designed to withstand the everyday rigours of industrial use over many years.

BXT3 Next Generation

The BXT NG next generation battery powered strapping tools for 9-19 mm PP and PET strapping have a number of revolutionary world firsts in manual strapping tools. The BXT3 is designed to withstand the everyday rigours of industrial use over many years. New features include:

Easy to use – Digital tool HMI Interface touch pad controls with new highlights for simple operator use and reduced training needs.

Secure packaging process – Favourite cycle settings for process repeatability – a world first!

Exact load securement – actual applied strap tension to the load indicated in display- a world first in a hand tool!

Easy to package sensitive products – Single finger strap tension speed control through finger pressure, so easy to position load protection etc when strapping
– again another world first!

Light-weight – the perfect balance to the tool makes it easy to use in all applications, vertically and horizontally without any operator fatigue issues.

Industry-proven high quality tool and parts – Swiss made for reliability, durability and lowest cost of ownership over the tool lifetime.

The heavy duty shock resistant tool housing ensures longevity and also provides maximum protection for the battery.

BXT2-32

The Signode BXT2-32 brings the speed, ease of use and productivity of battery powered strapping to the most demanding applications. Powerful enough to strap heavy duty materials such as steel, aluminium and nonferrous metals, using either 25mm or 32mm Tenax® high strength polyester strap, the tool provides consistent results regardless of pack size, for vertical or horizontal strapping.
The BXT2-32 gives up to 200 strap cycles per battery charge. The BOSCH battery can be charged at any time.
A 15-minute charge restores up to 80% of the battery’s total power, whilst a full charge takes just 60 minutes. The strapping mode can be adjusted to suit the application and delivers a tensioning force from 2000N up to 6500N in high tension mode and from 1000N up to 5000N in low tension mode.

Manual

Manual hand tools are the most basic form of strap application equipment. They are perfect for operations that either do not have access to power sources or do not require the speed of powered hand tools. Signode manual tensioners provide strap operators with a simple method for tightening strapping around a load. A manual sealer is then used to positively join the tensioned strap ends together, ensuring that loads remain secure during transit, handling and storage. To make strap application more convenient and efficient, we also manufacture seal and sealless combination tools which combine the tasks of tensioning, sealing and cutting in a single tool.

Walking gripper tensioner

Lightweight tensioner/cutter designed for buckle applications with plastic strapping.

Feedwheel tensioner

A serrated feedwheel grips the strapping and rotates to draw up slack. Fast and easy to position and use. Take-up is unlimited, and strapping may be used directly off the coil.

Windlass tensioner

Applies tension by gripping one end of the strapping and winding the other around a slotted shaft.

plasttens

Front-action sealers have handles that are perpendicular to the strapping. The side-action sealer is positioned at right angles to the strapping.

Combination tools function as tensioners, sealers and cutters. They save time by eliminating the handling of separate tools. But because they weigh more than such tools, they should be placed as close as possible to the position where they will be used. Seal-feed combination tools carry a stack of seals in a magazine for fast, easy loading.

Manual

The AST manual seal-feed combination tool uses Dylastic, Dymax and Tenax strapping. The AMT-58 is the ideal tool for High-Strength Tenax strapping.

Pneumatic

Pneumatic and battery-operated hand tools take most of the effort out of tensioning and sealing by performing those operations at the push of a button or lever. Powered hand tools are typically used to reduce operator fatigue, improve strapping efficiency and provide uniform tensioning. Signode pneumatic combination tools utilise air or battery power to tension, seal and cut off plastic strapping. These tools are available in seal-feed and sealless Tension-Weld® models.

The AMPT-58 is the ideal hand tool for High-Strength Tenax strapping.

Pneumatic Tension-Weld®

The model VT-10 and VT-13 combination tools apply Contrax, Dymax and Tenax strapping. Strap ends are joined with Signode’s patented Tension-weld® process, eliminating the need for metal seals.

The lightweight VT-16/19, VT-16HD, VT-19HD and VT-25HD tools apply High-Strength Tenax strapping at higher tension levels. Ideal for use in both horizontal and vertical applications.
